Understanding the Membership Statistics Report

The Membership Statistics Report provides a statistical breakdown of your membership data by selected criteria.

Rather than displaying individual member records, this report groups the results and provides a Count for each item. This makes it useful for quickly analysing membership numbers by membership type, salesperson, trainer, source, archive reason, suspension reason or Add On.

Navigate to:

Reports > General > Membership Statistics

Filtering the Report

Use the options at the top of the report to determine how the membership statistics are displayed.

Search By Date?

Enable Search By Date? if you want the report to use a selected date range.

When enabled, enter the required From and To dates in the Date Range fields.

Date Range

Select the period you want to analyse.

The Date Range is used when Search By Date? is enabled.

Dissect By

Use Dissect By to choose how you want the membership information grouped.

Available options include:

• SELECT ALL
• Archive Reasons
• Membership Types Core
• Sales Person
• Suspension Reasons
• Trainer
• Membership Types AddOn
• Source

The option selected determines what appears in the Description column of the report.

For example, selecting Membership Types Core will provide a breakdown of members by their core Membership Type, while selecting Sales Person will group the results by salesperson.

View

Use the View filter to determine which members are included.

Available options are:

• ALL
• Active Members
• Archived Members

Select View Report to apply your selections.

Understanding the Report

The Membership Statistics Report displays two main columns:

Description
Displays the item being analysed according to the option selected under Dissect By.

For example, this may display:

• Membership Type names
• Sales Person names
• Trainers
• Archive Reasons
• Suspension Reasons
• Add On Membership Types
• member Sources

Count
Displays the number of members associated with each Description.

For example, if Membership Types Core is selected, the Count shows how many members are associated with each Membership Type returned by the report.

Using Dissect By

The different Dissect By options can help answer different questions about your membership base.

Archive Reasons
Shows the number of archived members associated with each archive reason.

Membership Types Core
Shows member counts by core Membership Type.

Sales Person
Shows membership counts grouped by salesperson.

Suspension Reasons
Shows the number of members associated with each suspension reason.

Trainer
Shows member counts grouped by assigned trainer.

Membership Types AddOn
Shows membership counts associated with Add On Membership Types.

Source
Shows member counts according to the recorded source, such as how the member heard about the club.

Downloading the Report

Select the Download icon in the top-right corner to export the report information.

• review the most common archive reasons

• analyse membership numbers by salesperson
• review members assigned to different trainers
• analyse Add On membership numbers

• download grouped membership statistics for further review
